Google Ads Examples for Accountants
These are educational mock-ups of accounting ads, written for fictional firms. Each one answers a real kind of search and shows the choices that make an accounting ad worth clicking.
What does a good accounting Google ad look like?
A good accounting Google ad repeats the service and place from the search, names the type of client the firm serves, and gives one concrete reason to act, such as speaking directly with a CPA or getting a fixed fee quote. Google allows 30 characters per headline and 90 per description, so every word has to earn its place.
Year-end tax, HST and corporate filings for Ontario businesses. Fixed fees quoted upfront.
A plain answer on corporate filing deadlines for Ontario owners.
- Headline 1 repeats the search. "Corporate Tax Accountant" tells the searcher they are in the right place.
- Headline 2 adds location and proof. "Toronto CPA Firm" confirms the city and the credential.
- Headline 3 answers a fear. Owners worry about being passed to a junior. "Speak Directly With a CPA" answers that.
- Sitelinks split the intent. Corporate tax, bookkeeping and tax planning each go to their own page.
Accounting ad examples by search
These examples cover the searches accounting firms bid on most often. Each ad is written for one search intent, so you can see how the wording changes between a corporate owner, a small business, a "near me" searcher and someone who wants bookkeeping only.
Bookkeeping, payroll, HST and year-end in one plan. Free 20-minute fit call this week.
We handle the books, payroll and filings so you can run the business. Fixed monthly fee.
Corporate tax, compilations and advisory for owner-managed businesses. Book a fit call.

CallClean, reconciled books every month, ready for year-end. Plans by transaction volume.
Weak vs strong accounting ads
Weak accounting ads describe the firm in general terms that would fit any competitor. Strong ads describe the searcher's situation and the next step. The three comparisons below use the same search and the same fictional firm, so the only difference is the writing.
Contact us today for all your accounting needs. Great service and competitive prices.
- Could be any firm in any city
- "All your accounting needs" says nothing about small businesses
- "Great service" and "competitive prices" cannot be checked
Corporate tax, HST, payroll and year-end filings. Speak directly with a CPA.
- Repeats the search and the city
- Lists the services an owner actually buys
- Gives a reason to call that matters to owners
Experienced accountants. Personal and business tax. Call now for a quote.
- Ignores the word "consultant"
- No sign the firm understands incorporated professionals
- "Call now" adds urgency without a reason
Salary vs dividends, HST and T2 returns for incorporated consultants and contractors.
- Mirrors the audience in the headline
- Names the decisions consultants face
- Signals expertise without a claim that needs proof
Number one rated accounting firm. Lowest prices guaranteed. Call today.
- "Best", "number one" and "lowest" need proof
- Claims like these can breach CPA advertising rules
- Says nothing about HST
Monthly, quarterly or annual HST returns, catch-up filings and CRA letters handled.
- Names the service and city
- Speaks to the common situation of being behind
- Every claim is a service, not a boast
Ad examples for niche clients and cities
Niche and city-specific searches are where small firms beat large ones. A firm that writes an ad for "accountant for tech company" or "tax accountant Ottawa" can be more relevant than a national brand, and relevance lowers cost per lead. These examples show the pattern across Ontario markets.
We work with Ontario software and SaaS firms on SR&ED claims, deferred revenue and T2s.
Tax returns, planning and CRA reviews for Ottawa families and owner-managed companies.
Corporate tax, payroll and SR&ED help for Kanata tech firms and incorporated consultants.
Monthly books, payroll, HST and year-end for owner-managed Mississauga businesses.
T2 returns, financial statements and tax planning for Waterloo Region corporations.
Say who you serve in the first headline.
Accounting ads that name the client type, such as corporations, contractors or tech startups, filter out poor-fit clicks before you pay for them.
How do you write your own accounting ads?
To write your own accounting ads, start from the search, not from your firm's description. List the services, places and client types in each ad group, then write headlines that each work alone. Google's guidance on responsive search ads recommends several distinct headlines so the system can test combinations.
- Write three headlines that repeat the search in different words.
- Write three that name the client type or situation.
- Write three that give a reason to act: speak with a CPA, fixed fee quote, response within one business day.
- Write two descriptions: one about services, one about how working with you feels.
- Add sitelinks for your main services and a call asset if you answer the phone.
- Remove any claim you cannot prove, such as "best" or "cheapest".
Then send each ad to a page that continues the same message. The landing page guide for accountant ads shows how, and the keyword guide shows how to keep each ad group to one intent.
Frequently asked questions
What should an accountant's Google ad say?
The service and location from the search, the type of client you serve, and one concrete reason to act. Avoid generic phrases that would fit any firm.
How long can Google Ads headlines be?
Each headline can be up to 30 characters and each description up to 90 characters. A responsive search ad can have up to 15 headlines and 4 descriptions.
Can accountants use words like "best" in ads?
Only with proof. CPA codes of conduct bar advertising that is false, misleading or cannot be substantiated, and unprovable superlatives rarely improve results anyway.
Should accounting ads include prices?
Include a price only if it is accurate and you are happy to compete on it. "Fixed fees quoted upfront" often works better than a number for complex work.
What sitelinks should an accounting ad use?
Your main services, a page about your team, and a booking or contact page. Each sitelink should go to a page about that topic, not the homepage.
Do call assets work for accountants?
Yes, especially on mobile and for "near me" searches. Schedule them only during hours when someone answers the phone.
Can I mention CRA in my ads?
You can describe services such as handling CRA letters, but never imply you are the CRA or affiliated with it.
How many ads should each ad group have?
One strong responsive search ad per ad group is enough for most accounting firms. Improve it over time using the asset report.
