Meta Advantage+ Campaigns Explained (2026)

Advantage+ is Meta’s name for its automation. Since early 2026, any sales, app or leads campaign that uses automated budget, audience and placements runs as an Advantage+ campaign. You give it a goal, creative and signals; it decides who sees what and where.

What is Meta Advantage+?

A set of automation features that now forms the default campaign setup. Meta retired the separate Advantage+ shopping and app campaign APIs in a move announced in October 2025 and completed in Q1 2026. Campaigns that use automated budget, audience and placements now run as Advantage+ sales, app or leads campaigns (PPC Land on the change).

What do you still control?

The objective, the conversion event, the budget total, the creative, location, age minimums and exclusions such as existing customers. You can suggest an audience; Meta treats it as a starting point and may go beyond it. Detail is in Meta Ads targeting.

When does Advantage+ work well?

  • You send reliable conversion events with the Pixel and Conversions API.
  • You have enough volume, roughly 50 events a week per campaign.
  • You supply varied creative so the system can match ads to people.
  • Your offer appeals to a wide audience.

It struggles when conversions are rare, when the real buyer is a narrow B2B role, or when the tracked event is not what you care about.

How should B2B teams use it?

Optimize for a qualified event, not any form fill. Send CRM stages such as qualified lead back to Meta as offline or server events so automation learns who becomes pipeline. Exclude current customers. Use lead ads with a qualifying question, and compare results with LinkedIn pipeline measurement.

Founder rule

Automation amplifies your signal.

Send Meta the event that matches revenue. If you send junk leads as conversions, it will find you more junk.

How do you set it up?

  1. Confirm Pixel and Conversions API events are deduplicated and firing.
  2. Create a sales or leads campaign with Advantage+ audience and placements.
  3. Add exclusions for existing customers and employees.
  4. Load five or more creatives in different formats and angles.
  5. Leave it a week before changing anything.
