Landing Pages for Law Firm Google Ads
A paid click is a question about a legal problem. The landing page should answer it in the first screen, identify the lawyers and make booking a consultation easy, without the rankings, testimonials and predictions law societies flag.
How should a law firm ad flow from search to landing page?
The words the client typed appear in the ad, the same words appear in the page headline, and the button matches what they came to do: call, book a consultation or ask a question. When that chain breaks, people leave.
What should a family law consultation page include?
A family law landing page should include a headline that repeats the search, a clear statement that lawyers provide the service, what the first consultation covers and costs, practical facts (location, languages, hours), a short conflict-safe form, a phone number and answers to the questions that stop people booking.
Family lawyers on Elgin St. A 60-minute first meeting to explain your options, the process and likely costs.
- Consult fee: $250 plus HST, for 60 minutes with a lawyer
- Parenting, support and property questions
- Service in English or French
- The headline repeats the search. Separation and the city, in the first line.
- Identification sits next to the promise. "Lawyers licensed in Ontario" answers rule 4.2-1.1 and the lawyer or paralegal question.
- A conflict-safe form. Contact details plus the other party's name, and a note asking for no details of the matter.
- Facts instead of praise. Years in practice (only if demonstrably true), languages and access replace ratings and testimonials.
- Answers to the blocking questions. Cost, documents and format stop more bookings than anything else.
What does an immigration landing page need?
An immigration landing page needs to say who provides the service, that the firm is a private law firm and not a government office, which applications it handles and in which languages. Newcomers often cannot tell a lawyer from an unlicensed agent, so the page should make the licence easy to check.
Immigration lawyers licensed by the Law Society of Ontario. We are a private firm, not IRCC.
- Spousal, common-law and parent sponsorship
- Consultations in Punjabi, Hindi or English
- Written fee quote before we open a file
- Matter and city first. The page answers the sponsorship search directly.
- The licence is checkable. A pointer to the Law Society directory lets clients verify, which builds trust honestly.
- Fees separated from government fees. Saying what is not included is as important as the price.
What can't a law firm landing page show?
A landing page is marketing, so the same rules as the ad apply. In Ontario that rules out superlatives and unverifiable rankings, emotional testimonials, predictions of results, "specialist" for lawyers who are not certified, second-opinion offers and fee teasers that are not precise.
| Instead of | Show | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Client quotes and star widgets | Languages, location, hours, how fees work | Testimonials with emotional appeals may contravene Ontario's commentary |
| "Toronto's best divorce lawyers" | "Family lawyers at Yonge and Eglinton" | Superlatives are treated as rankings |
| "Millions recovered for clients" | What the first meeting covers | Past results need a disclaimer and raise expectations |
| "Certified specialist" (not certified) | "Our practice is limited to family law" | Restricted practice is allowed; the title is not |
| "Closings from $499" | The all-inclusive fee and its exclusions | Real estate price rules in Ontario |
| Paid "top lawyer" badges | Genuine honours for professional or civic service | Bought rankings contravene the rules |
This is not legal or ethics advice; check your law society. The province-by-province comparison is on law firm marketing rules
The same rules apply to the main site; website design for law firms shows how.
Carry the client's words from the search to the button.
If the search says separation lawyer and the city, the ad, the page headline and the button should say it too. Every break in that chain costs consultations.
What should a law firm intake form ask?
Ask for name, phone, email, the other party's name for a conflict check and one practical question such as preferred times. Do not ask people to describe their matter. Until the conflict check clears, details of the situation are information the firm may not be able to use and should not hold.
| Field | Keep it? | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Name, phone, email | Yes | You need a fast way to call back |
| Other party's name | Yes, for most practice areas | Lets you run a conflict check before the first call |
| Preferred times or language | Yes | Lets intake offer a slot on the first call |
| Practice area | Optional, as a drop-down | Routes the enquiry; keep it a simple choice |
| "Tell us what happened" | No | Confidential details before a conflict check |
| Documents upload | No | Gather documents after you are retained |
Put a phone number and a booking link beside the form. Our intake and speed-to-lead guide covers what happens after the form is sent.
How do landing pages affect Quality Score and tracking?
Landing pages affect both what you pay and what you learn. Google's Quality Score documentation lists landing page experience as one of three components, with expected click-through rate and ad relevance. A fast page that answers the search usually helps all three.
Record calls, form submissions and completed bookings as conversions. To teach Google which enquiries became consultations, enhanced conversions for leads can match an outcome to the original form using hashed contact details. For a law firm, send only a stage label such as "consult held", never the matter type or anything about the client's situation. Call and intake tracking shows a version that avoids contact details entirely. The general setup is in our Google Ads landing pages guide.
Frequently asked questions
Should a law firm use separate landing pages for Google Ads?
Yes. A page built for one practice area and place converts better than a homepage and shows which campaigns bring which matters.
How many landing pages does a law firm need?
One per main ad group, such as separation, parenting, wills or sponsorship, plus language versions where a lawyer serves clients in that language.
Can I put Google reviews on my landing page?
Be careful. Ontario's commentary flags testimonials with emotional appeals, and Alberta warns about manipulated ratings. Facts such as languages, hours and fee terms are safer.
Should a landing page show the consultation fee?
Yes, if you charge one. State the fee, the length of the meeting and whether HST is extra.
Why ask for the other party's name?
So you can run a conflict check before the first call. Ask for nothing about the matter itself.
Does a contact form create a lawyer-client relationship?
Say clearly on the form that it does not. Have your own lawyers approve the wording.
Does page speed matter for law firm ads?
Yes. Many legal searches happen on phones, and landing page experience is part of Quality Score. Keep the first screen light.
